Using Life’s Challenges to Find a Purpose with Julie Morvant

10: Using Life’s Challenges to Find a Purpose with Julie Morvant

How often do you make time to work on yourself? To really do the inner work? Have you ever thought about using your challenges to find a purpose?

There’s always so much going on in life, it can be all too easy to put ourselves at the bottom of the to-do list.

Our guest in this episode, Julie Morvant, is all about finding ways to do the inner work even when you feel busy and overwhelmed. She believes in finding your purpose through life’s challenges and in this episode, she’s sharing how she did that for herself.

Julie Morvant was born and raised in South Louisiana. She is one of ten children and had a good childhood until her father passed away when she was just ten years old. After experiencing her father’s death, she struggled with some anxiety, and as a teenager, running became her therapy. She noticed that after a run, all her stress and anxiety were gone. She continued to run as an adult and completed an anxiety therapeutic program. By the age of twenty-two, she decided to go to graduate school to receive her master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling. In 2010, knowing what running did for her mental and physical health, she decided to become an injury-prevention running coach. Now that she is counseling people with anxiety and depression, she can’t help but reflect on how she took her own suffering and found a purpose for it. It brings her great joy to help her clients find a purpose through the challenges of life. She believes that nothing we go through is ever wasted.

In This Episode, You’ll Discover:

  • The power of your thoughts
  • How to change your thoughts when they aren’t serving you
  • How to find your purpose through life’s challenges
  • The power of what’s already inside you
  • That trauma has a way of creeping back in
  • Why nothing that anyone ever goes through is wasted
  • The importance of finding what is therapeutic for you
  • That freedom comes from letting things go
  • That we are meant to create
